Every Vespa GTS shares the same grand touring DNA, but the SuperSport wears it differently. Where the standard GTS and Super lean into chrome elegance and classic Italian sophistication, the SuperSport strips that back and turns up the attitude. It’s the same powerful HPE engine, the same class-leading chassis — but wrapped in a bolder, sportier personality with the connectivity to match.
The GTS SuperSport 300 shares the same liquid-cooled 278cc HPE single-cylinder i-GET engine as its siblings, producing 17.5 kW at 8,250 rpm and a substantial 26 Nm of torque at 5,250 rpm. That’s strong, confident power through a CVT automatic transmission with centrifugal dry clutch and vibration dampers — enough to handle highway cruising, overtaking, and two-up riding without hesitation. Piaggio’s patented RISS Start & Stop system comes standard, silently shutting the engine off at traffic lights and restarting it instantly when you’re ready to move. Twin 220mm stainless steel disc brakes front and rear with dual-channel ABS and ASR traction control provide outstanding stopping power and stability in all conditions. With an 8.5-litre fuel tank, the SuperSport is as practical as it is fast.
The SuperSport steps ahead of the standard GTS and Super with Vespa MIA connectivity fitted as standard — not an accessory. Connect your smartphone via Bluetooth and manage incoming calls, messages, and music directly through the handlebar controls, with all notifications displayed on the 3-inch analogue LCD instrument panel. Keyless ignition, remote seat opening, and the Bike Finder function all come standard, along with full LED lighting front and rear and a USB port for keeping devices charged on the move. It’s the most connected GTS short of the TFT-equipped SuperTech.
This is where the SuperSport truly separates itself. Chrome gives way to blacked-out detailing — shiny black mirrors, frames, and accents replace the warm chrome of the Super, creating a more aggressive, modern aesthetic. Carbon-look inserts add a high-performance edge, while sporty body graphics and bold matte and gloss colour schemes announce the SuperSport’s intentions before the engine even starts. The high-quality seat is upholstered with contrast stitching, completing the sporty-premium look. Underneath, it’s the same sheet steel monocoque body with welded reinforcements, the same 12-inch wheels (120/70 front, 130/70 rear), and the same double rear shock absorber setup with 4-position preload adjustment — all proven GTS architecture at 1,980 mm long with a 790 mm seat height.
The Vespa GTS SuperSport 300 is for riders who love the GTS platform but want something with more edge. It delivers the same 17.5 kW of HPE performance and grand touring comfort, but with sportier styling, blacked-out details, and Vespa MIA connectivity as standard. If you want the big Vespa experience with an attitude that leans more towards the racetrack than the piazza, the SuperSport is your answer. Note: the GTS 300 range sits above LAMS approval, so this one is for fully licensed riders.
