From the GS of 1955 to the Rally of 1968, Vespa’s largest scooters have always combined great performance with the comfort to go further. The GTS Super 150 carries that grand touring lineage into the present day — bigger, bolder, and more capable than any small-frame Vespa, yet still unmistakably, irresistibly Italian. This is the scooter for riders who want presence, performance, and the confidence to ride beyond the city limits.
At the heart of the GTS Super sits a liquid-cooled 155cc single-cylinder i-GET engine with port fuel injection and 4-valve timing — a significant step up from the air-cooled powerplants in the Primavera and Sprint range. Producing 11.5 kW at 8,250 rpm and a healthy 15 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, it delivers responsive, confident power through a CVT automatic transmission with centrifugal dry clutch and vibration dampers. Piaggio’s patented RISS (Regulator Inverter Start & Stop) system is fitted as standard, automatically switching the engine off when stationary and restarting it instantly and silently when you’re ready to move — reducing fuel consumption and emissions without any effort from the rider. Braking is class-leading: twin 220mm stainless steel disc brakes front and rear, backed by dual-channel ABS and ASR traction control for outstanding stopping confidence in all conditions.
The GTS Super’s 3-inch analogue LCD instrument panel blends classic Vespa elegance with modern functionality — an analogue speedometer sits above an LCD display showing trip data including maximum and average speed, instantaneous and average consumption, range, and battery charge status. Keyless ignition lets you start the engine, open the seat, and lock the steering column — all with the remote control in your pocket. The Bike Finder function flashes the indicators to locate your scooter at a distance, while remote seat opening provides quick access to the underseat compartment. Vespa MIA connectivity is available as an accessory, linking your smartphone to the scooter’s electronics via Bluetooth for call, message, and music notifications on screen. Full LED lighting front and rear ensures maximum visibility day and night.
The GTS Super is the largest body in the Vespa family, and it wears its size with purpose. Built on a sheet steel body with welded reinforcements, it’s wider, longer, and more protective than its smaller siblings, with refined ergonomics that make the handlebar more comfortable and allow the rider to reach the ground more easily. Larger 12-inch wheels (120/70 front, 130/70 rear) and a double rear shock absorber setup with 4-position preload adjustment give it a planted, composed ride that handles everything from city streets to open roads. At 1,980 mm long with an 795 mm width and 790 mm seat height, the GTS Super delivers genuine grand touring proportions with a passenger seat to match.
The Vespa GTS Super 150 is for riders who’ve outgrown the small-frame scooter but aren’t ready to leave the Vespa world behind. It’s LAMS-approved, liquid-cooled, and equipped with dual disc brakes, traction control, and a Start & Stop system that you won’t find on the Primavera or Sprint. If your riding takes you beyond backstreet errands — weekend escapes, longer commutes, two-up trips — the GTS Super delivers the performance, comfort, and presence to match. It’s the big Vespa, and it earns that title in every way.
