Triumph’s entry into the premier 450 motocross class isn’t just confident — it’s dominant. The TF 450-X delivers 62.4 horsepower at 9,500 rpm wrapped in an ultra-light 108.3kg chassis, creating the best power-to-weight ratio in its class. This isn’t a tentative first step; it’s a statement backed by podium finishes in both Supercross and MXGP. Built with race-developed technology and refined through championship-winning expertise, the TF 450-X brings factory-level performance to riders ready to compete at the highest level.
The 449.5cc four-stroke single-cylinder engine is engineered for competitive performance. A forged König aluminium piston provides strength and high-rev durability, while flow-optimized Del West titanium valves allow higher RPMs and improved throttle response. DLC-coated rockers and cams minimize friction for smooth performance under extreme loads.
The powerplant delivers 49.9Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm — relentless, controllable power that gives you the edge out of corners and stronger starts. The engine mapping improves throttle response and boosts low-end torque exactly where you need it. A Dell’Orto 44mm throttle body with Keihin injector maximizes fuel atomization, while the optimized airbox and silencer meet FIM and AMA race sound regulations without sacrificing performance.
The TF 450-X comes race-ready with a comprehensive electronics package: launch control, traction control, dual engine maps, and a clutchless quickshifter enabling upshifts from 2nd to 5th gear. The Athena ECU manages ignition, launch, traction, and map settings, integrated with GET Power Assist for seamless control.
Premium KYB suspension — 48mm AOS coil spring forks and three-way adjustable piggyback shock with 310mm front and 305mm rear travel — is dialed in for big hits and technical rhythm sections. The settings, refined through racing input, deliver pro-level mid-stroke control, chassis balance, and cornering stability. Brembo brakes with Galfer discs provide strong, consistent stopping power, while the upgraded Exedy clutch hub with Belleville spring delivers refined action and consistent engagement under extreme racing conditions.
Triumph’s unique aluminium spine frame uses a twin-cradle design that balances stiffness and flex for confident handling. The hydroformed swingarm and race-developed linkage system reduce weight while maximizing grip and traction. Striking Performance Yellow graphics with in-mould decals give the 2026 model a bold, race-ready presence.
The cockpit features Neken yokes, ProTaper ACF carbon core handlebars, and ODI lock-on grips designed for control and comfort. D.I.D DirtStar 7000-series aluminium rims fitted with Pirelli MX32 tyres deliver excellent grip and durability, while the compact 7-litre tank keeps weight centralized.
The TF 450-X is engineered to be accessible for weekend riders while helping competitive racers perform at the highest level. If you demand the best power-to-weight ratio in class, factory-level componentry, and race-optimized electronics straight from the box, Triumph has delivered exactly that. It’s built to compete, backed by a global network of 300 specialist Motocross and Enduro centres providing expert support from sales to race day.
