When you mention the word Hayabusa in any serious motorcycle conversation, there’s always a moment of silence — the kind reserved for legends. The third-generation Suzuki Hayabusa carries that legacy forward, not just as a speed icon, but as a refined, road-dominating hypersport machine.
Let’s get one thing out of the way: yes, it’s still blisteringly fast. The Gen III Hayabusa’s 1,340cc inline-four delivers a relentless surge of power with torque that feels like it’s available everywhere in the rev range. But it’s how the bike delivers that power that sets this generation apart. It’s smoother, more controlled, and more rideable than ever.
The development team focused on refining the low-to-mid speed range – where riders spend most of their time – achieving better torque and a more linear power curve. The result? This is the fastest-accelerating Hayabusa yet, with quicker 0-100km/h and 0-200m times than previous generations. Whether you’re overtaking on the highway or leaning into a fast sweeper, the Hayabusa feels planted, confident, and astonishingly poised.
This is where the new Hayabusa really steps into the modern era. Suzuki’s Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S) offers a comprehensive suite of electronic aids that make this beast more controllable and predictable than ever. The SDMS-α system groups five advanced electronic controls, letting you select individual settings across three factory presets or three user-defined modes.
Choose between three engine output modes to match conditions. Motion Track ABS and cornering traction control use IMU data to work even when leaned over. There’s also launch control with three modes, anti-lift control with ten settings, bi-directional quickshifter, cruise control, speed limiter, and even hill hold control. The large TFT LCD panel displays everything from lean angle to brake pressure, nestled between classic analog dials that keep the Hayabusa’s iconic feel alive.
The aerodynamic bodywork is unmistakably Hayabusa — low, long, and wide — inspired by the peregrine falcon, the world’s fastest animal. The wind-cutting silhouette screams of power and performance. LED headlights provide a sharp new look with bold, eye-pleasing presence, while attention to detail extends to touches like the Hayabusa kanji character throughout the design. The twin-spar aluminum frame uses extruded sections — the same approach found in supercar frames — to achieve the optimal balance needed for a machine with a top speed of 299km/h.
The Suzuki Hayabusa Gen III isn’t just for top-speed junkies anymore. With revised suspension for nimble handling, handlebars positioned 12mm closer for improved comfort, and upgraded Brembo brakes with 320mm discs, it’s a versatile machine that feels at home carving mountain roads or dominating straightaways. The collection of electronic systems lets you tailor the experience to your skill level, making the legendary Hayabusa more accessible while retaining everything that made it an icon.
